Spanish or Hungarian girls will be the champions! On the third day of the European Beach Handball Championships under 17 in Stare Jabłonki, the knockout phase started. Howewer, the final classification will be known on Sunday.

The Hungarian with the victory against Portugal secured their first place in group I and made it easier to get the promotion for Germans who, after defeating Lithuania, no longer had to worry about the balance of the sets.

The Dutch women, after a square match with the Russians, remained in the fight for medals. Apart from them, the Spanish women were promoted to the semi-finals from group II,.

France did not give Slovakia any chances to win and eventually took second place in group III, just behind the Ukrainians who finished their matches yesterday in this phase of the tournament.

A direct rivalry for the first place in group IV ended with a definite win of the Swiss over Romania. The third in group 4 are Croatians who lost both Friday matches.

Dutch women will not defend the title! The Hungarians have dealt with Oranje without any major problems and in the finals they will meet the Spaniards, who after a fierce battle (the result of the second set was decided by the golden goal) defeated the Germans.

The Poles failed to beat Portugal in a match that would allow them to fight for the 5th place. In competition for the 7th position, they will meet Lithuanians who have succumbed to the Russians.

Romania and the French have succumbed to the Ukrainians and to the the Swiss, thus they will have to come to terms with the fight for only the 11th position. The winners of Saturday’s games will fight for place 9.
